Formal occassions and dressing informally.

The way you dress all depends on where you are going and has everything to do with the occasion if there is one. When you go to school you dress a certain way, a formal dance, a party, the store, lounging around the house, going out in the rain, going to church, a funeral or award ceremony, and more. When you go to school you are liable to dress more casual and laid back although some people choose to dress up depending on their sense of style. When your going to a formal dance, such as prom and winter formal you  dress more elegant, with pretty dresses and high heels. You can wear almost anything to a party, whether it be dressy or casual or a mixture of both. You can throw on some sweats or just some jeans and any shirt when going to the store. Lounging around the house can be in your pajamas or anything you want. Going out in the rain requires some warm clothes and boots are shoes you don't mind getting wet.Going to church is different, people usually wear their best clothes to church and they are more dressed up than usual even though some people come in jeans which is not a problem. A funeral or award ceremony is something similar to church attire and working at a business like a law firm or something requires your attire to be more professional.

Raw foods and Cooked foods

Raw foods contain many known and unknown diseases. They are also very unsanitary and can give you salmonella poisoning. Unless of course you are eating fruits or vegetables but they should be washed off before you eat them. Cooking your foods takes out all the germs and unknown diseases. What makes the cooked foods unhealthy is adding unhealthy spices and things such as salts and butter. Things like this can cause high blood pressure and cholesterol. I know that eating some raw foods is healthy, for instance if you eat raw carrots that is healthier than cooked carrots, but make sure they are washed off fruits. Same goes with fruits, eating raw fruits is healthier than cooking them. Even though fruits do not get cooked often. Raw fruits and vegetables are healthy. Now on the other hand, eating other raw things like raw cookie dough, raw chicken, raw fish, raw, eggs, and other raw foods that are just required to be cooked is just nasty and unhealthy. I like my cooked foods well one. Some people make runny eggs which is gross. Some people make their meats medium rare to where you can see the red blood from it which is another nasty things and raw cookie dough just makes my stomach hurt. I like my cooked foods to be well done and my raw foods to be washed off. Certain foods go under one of those categories and its important to eat them the right way, that is well done or washed off.

Life Without Cellphones

Life without cell phones ? I could not even imagine that. Cell phones are everyone's best friend, young and older people. Cell phones have tremendously evolved throughout the world and have been a source of communication for everyone anywhere in the world. I know if people that have communicated through cellphones from the United States to India. Not only that it helps us keep in contact with family, friends, and people we work with. If we were not at home we could use our cell phones to talk to whenever and where ever we are, whether it be out of the state or not. Cell phones have allowed people to have a way to call people in case of an emergency and more. Cell phones have even went so far as to be able to text, take pictures, email, surf the web and more. Cell phones have become like mini computers, it just adds the feature to talk and text. I do not know what I would do without my cell phone, it keeps me occupied when I'm bored and really comes in handy with a lot of things. I use my cell phone for almost anything. For example your mom sends you to the store and you forget what she told you to get, instead of going all the way back home, you can use your cell phone to make a simple phone call. Another example, your stranded and your car will not start, the next phone isn't for another 90 miles or what ever you can use your cell phone to call for help and even in medical emergencies. Cell phones really come in handy and modern life would be dull and more difficult without them.

Birthday Celebration For a Friend.

I would treat my friends birthday the way I would want mine to be if she were doing it for me. First I would pretend I wasn't able to do anything for her birthday for a long time then I would probably pretend I forgot when the day actually came. As a surprise I would have a limo waiting for her in front of her house then I would have her request any restaurant she wanted to go eat at. After the restaurant we would go shopping and then we would go to a party or something afterward. I would want her to be dressed up like me and I would get a big giant card and have a lot of people sign it and put money in it. I've always wanted one of those so I know my friend would like it. We would not even go home that night, there would be a hotel room awaiting for us later that night. Not just any hotel room a suite, the kind with a kitchen and furnished bedrooms and jacuzzi bath tubs and a view of the beach. I would want the hotel to be by the beach or Marina or something because I would like to take my friend on a cruise the next day. That would be the ideal celebration for a birthday my friends will always remember.

Spicy foods vs Sweet foods

Spicy foods and sweet foods are both good. I love them both but they have a lot of similarities and differences. Spicy foods are hot and usually fall under a certain type of food, like Mexican, Cajun, or even American food. Spicy foods such as enchiladas, jambalaya, hot wings, chili, spicy chicken, tamales, spaghetti could also be spicy. All of these foods don't have to be spicy but the majority of the time people like them spicy. Spicy foods can be good for you but they are not always good for you depending on the type of food it is. It can be unhealthy sometimes, especially when consuming a lot of it at a time. Sweet foods include desserts, orange chicken, sweet potatoes, cookies, cheesecake, ice cream, plan tins, coconut shrimp, cereal and oatmeal can be made sweet and many more. Sweet foods mainly consist of desserts but foods can also be made sweet. Orange chicken is a Chinese dish that has a sweet orange glaze over the chicken which is very tasty. Sweet potatoes or yams are just what they're called sweet potatoes and some people make them with brown sugar and pineapples. These are also very tasty. breakfast foods such as cereal and oatmeal can be sweet. Oatmeal only has sugar added if the person who's eating it wants it to be sweet. not everyone likes they're oatmeal sweet or they just think its more healthy without the sugar. Both of these types of foods are good, sweet foods can be made cold or hot while spicy foods are always hot.

Weather that affects moods

Weather affects people different ways. When the skies are clear and its a warm day people usually in a better mood because the weather is so beautiful. The rain gives a sad vibe to me, it makes it look ugly outside and it usually makes me want to stay in the house and drink hot chocolate and makes you think about a lot of things. I don't really like the rain unless I'm in the house watching movies or something. I do not like to be out in the rain as opposed to when its sunny and warm outside, that's the best weather to do anything and its puts people in better moods. If its cold people do usually like to move a lot or even talk for that matter because they're worried about keeping themselves warm. When its hot people get irritable and annoyed with little things. Sometimes the heat can bring on headaches which makes irritation in someone even worse. It gets you hot and sweaty and irritated, especially when its too hot. The perfect weather to me is like in the 80's with the sun shining and a little breeze. Not too hot and not too cold but just right. Weather does affect the mood of some people but others do not let the weather affect them. The rain especially puts people in different moods, they are not as hyper and energized when its raining or too hot as opposed to other types of weather.

Out of State College Requirements.

Out of state colleges require the same things that in-state colleges require. Such as transcripts, letters of recommendations, and your SAT/ACT scores. The difference between out of state and in-state is the tuition. If your not a resident of that state then you would have to pay out of state fees. Those fees tend to be expensive, but if out of state is what you prefer then go for it.

Public Schooling and Homeschooling

Public schooling and home schooling are two different things. When you attend a public school, there are more opportunities, more activities, a chance to be around peers and get one on one help with teachers, etc. Public schooling is the best way to get an education properly in my opinion, as opposed to homeschooling. Homeschooling can be very boring and especially when everyone else is at school your stuck at home by yourself. You dont get to do everything all your other friends in school can, you cant participate in the different activities and you wont be able to get the help you could get at school. I would much rather be in school. Even thought school can be boring sometimes at least your at school bored with your friends. Your friends make school worth going to, no matter how boring the school may be if you didnt have people around and you were just by yourself all the time, everyday, it would 10 times worse. I think public school is better, however they are both school and you get educated either way.

Understanding and Knowledge

Understanding something is like comprehending or being aware of something. You can understand a problem or understand the equation of a math problem or understand why someone is mad. People understand things they dont have knowledge of in the beginning. I could go to a teacher not knowing anything about what Im going to ask but after they explain it now I understand. When reading a story and asking questions afterward thats something like understanding what the story was about which is also refferred to as comprehension. Knowledge is knowing. Knowledge is intelligence. Understanding leads to knowledge and when you have knowledge you can go further than just understanding something. Both of these relate because they kind of mean the same thing, except with knowledge you already know something and with understanding you figuring it out or just now getting the knowledge. You can have knowledge about anything you learn and understand.

An interesting person

An interesting person to me is my mom. My mom is interesting to me because she is the only person I know that has had numorous career choices and she has a unique personality. My mom has been a sheriff, a teacher, a flight attendant, and a FedEx driver. She is the only person I know that has had a wide range of career choices and this brings me to her personality. Because she got everything handed to her and because she is the type of person that doesn't like drama my mom surrounded herself with a small crowd of trusted people which is understandable. She had more guy friends than girls because girls usually come with drama and can be messy sometimes. Boy are more chill and laid back and they definitely do not have as much drama as girls. My mom has the type of personality as mine which is the ability to get along with anybody. Even though she surrounded herself with a certain crowd she still got along with everyone. My mom is the type of person you can talk to about anything in the world, she's real and she has been able to be successful in all aspects of her life as one can see. She is an interesting person to me.

my most effective teacher

My most effective teacher would have to my U.S. History teacher Mr. Berry. I dont usually like history or social science classes, they were pretty boring to me but after having Mr. Berry I realized it wasnt the subject but instead it was the teacher. Mr. Berry had a unique still to his teaching, he explained everything we needed to know by power points, lectures, games, projects, and even outside sources. I actually learned a lot in his class, and I was able to take what he taught me and inform other people that needed help in that same area. I took a lot of notes in his class, and when I tutored this girl she asks questions that I could go right to my notes and answer. We use to play Jeopardy which was like a study guide that really helped me study for his quiz and tests. We had projects to keep us interested in what we were learning and mad eit fun as well. Not only did we have lectures and notes but we watched movies and had questions to answer pertaining to the movies which helped us learn and relax at the same time. Mr. Berry had a unique way of teaching his class and I think it was very effective for me because I actually learned and payed attention in history, thats a good achievement for me.

Not enough sleep

Not getting enough sleep affects how you operate in school and at work the next day. If you go to bed late your most likely to be sleepy, tired, lazy, grumpy, not focused and just not in a good mood. You can fall asleep in class and miss out on important notes or assignments, you can be grumpy and take out your frustrations on other people, you can be lazy and tired which affects your performance in class and just throughout the day. If your work and especially if you have to work with the public, you might move slower than usual and put yourself under a lot of pressure by dealing with different people. Dealing with the public you need patience and being grumpy may cause problems with customers or different people in general which may affect your job and cause you to get fired if the problem persists. I know not getting enough sleep before a test really affects your attention span from experience. Being sleepy is one thing but taking a test is another, its very boring and your not focused, just reading and trying to figure out a problem makes you ever more sleepy and you may even fall asleep and fall behind. When you have enough sleep, your energized, awake, alert and focused.

Passing the test

Study !!! Studying is the best way to remember information, however some people do not like to study. I for one do better by practicing and playing games to remember what ever it is I'm studying. I think you should avoid distractions and focus on the outcome of your test. You can take a practice test and have a study buddy to help you study. Practice problems are a great way to get use to a certain subject or area of study. Playing games gets you interested in what ever you need to study its a good way to remember things and finding ways to memorize them. Studying is the number one encouraged way to pass test and get opinions from other people who previously took the same test. On the day of the test you should eat a good breakfast, and the night before you should get a good nights rest and dont try to remember too much the night before.

Ending Relationships

Ending relationships isnt an easy thing to do unless of course you really just want to get out of that relationship because you do not like the person anymore, which makes it easier. If you want to a relationship you should sit down and talk to your significant other and explain to them why your ending it, and make sure its a good reason too. Many people make the mistake if just avoiding the person to get out of a relationship. This action not only makes the person look like a coward and look bad period but it makes the person its being done to feel bad. I think being honest is the best way to go, whether the truth hurts or not, there might be a way to make it sound better. I respect honesty even if it hurts me. If talking to them is hard for you then you can probably write them a letter but I think talking to them would be better. You guys can come to an agreement on the terms of your relationship and if you want to remain friends or not, it might be hard to do and its easier said than done but once you do get around to doing it, you feel better than having that thought and weight on your shoulder.

Making new friends

There any many ways to make new friends. Moving to new places, changing schools, going out with other friends, being socialable, and finding them on the internet are some ways just to name a few. People make friends everyday, especially if your a people persona dnyour socialable it makes it easier. Once you meet a new person and start a conversation with them, thats an easy way to lead into a friendship, ask a question, give a compliment or make a comment. I've made new friends on facebook, just going out with my other friends and being a friendly person. You can make new friends being a party, and being a new student or in a new neighborhood is always a way to make friends. Making conversation with a stranger has even started friendships. When people with common interest meet they also can become friends. I've met people out of the state of California before, from family gatherings to connections through other people and being a sociable person.

My favorite game

My favorite game was grand theft auto. The game was made like it occured in different parts of Los Angeles and had same of the same problems as in drugs and gang violence. The main character is CJ, he just got home from prison and found out his mom was murdered, his goal is to find out who killed his mom and he runs into many more missions on the way along with a few other people. The game is interesting and fun, even though it is violent I know a lot of people who enjoyed playing it. The game is old, it came out years ago, but there are more than one of these games. One takes place in Miami, however I think San Andreas is the best one thus far. I've played games and got so into them that I would stay up late nights to try to pass them but this one I was more into than any other game before, sometimes I would play all day long and I would get so mad if I had to start over. I don't really play video games anymore but grand theft auto would have to be my favorite. It was very interesting and fun.

Prejudice

People who are prejudice are usually considered racist. There not a good reason for being this way. Its a stereotype and a bad judgment towards someone you don't even know. If one person gives you a reason as to why they don't like a certain race, person or group of people the person might take that into consideration and feel the same way for no reason. Being prejudice causes violence and hatred between people. Its a problematic thing that can be avoided. During the civil rights movement, this causes riots, fighting, innocent people being jailed, unequal rights, and certain people being treated unfairly. Some people are still prejudice today, some don't hire certain people at their job facility's or date an opposite race or even like certain people because of their skin color. Police can be prejudice and some people are prejudice toward police because of things that have happened in the past. Prejudice is based off opinions and what people don't seem to understand is not every person is the same, God created us all and even though everyone is different in some way, we are all the same as well. We are all humans and this brings me to the saying "Never judge a book by its cover"

Impulse Buying

People who are selfish, soiled, wealthy or are shopaholics are impulsive buyers. The effects are only cool if you have that extra money to spend, Impulsive buying is basically when you see something and you just have to have it so you buy it without thinking and before you know it you've spent over a thousand dollars in 30 minutes. I'm a very good shopper I look at the prices and make sure I really want if not need the things I'm buying. When people impulsive shop, they are not helping their financial stability especially if they cant afford what they're buying. They might be things they really don't need and end up with a lot of unwanted things in their house. Its waste of money that can be used on more useful things. That money could also go to charity's or needy families. Impulsive spending can lead to being spoiled, the person can be so use to getting what they want when they want that when they don't get these things they get mad. I think sometimes when people are impulsive buyers they need to vent or relieve some type of stress and others just love to shop. Not only clothes but food as well. I don't think people should be cheap and just live saving money but I think they should be more sensible and considerate of they're financial stability.

Pollution

Pollution is not a good thing. It puts our environment in a bad place and when people don't take the proper precautions to prevent pollution its harder to get rid of it. Pollution is contaminants into a natural environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the ecosystem i.e. physical systems or living organisms Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat, or light. Pollutants, the elements of pollution, can be foreign substances or energies, or naturally occurring; when naturally occurring, they are considered contaminants when they exceed natural levels. Pollution is often classed as point source or non point source pollution. Pollution became a popular issue after World War II, due to radioactive fallout from atomic warfare and testing. Air pollution has always been with us.There are different forms of pollution, such as air, noise. light, littering, thermal, visual and water pollution. do what ever you can to protect the environment and help stop an increase with pollution. Pollution can also be deadly. The Great Smog of 1952 in London, killed at least 4000 people. This prompted some of the first major modern environmental legislation, The Clean Air Act of 1956. Pollution began to draw major public attention in the United States between the mid-1950s and early 1970s, when Congress passed the Noise Control Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.

Modern life without computers

Modern life would be much different and more difficult without computers. Computers has had a positive but also negative effect on society. I find it to be more of a positive aspect. Computers have been a big improvement with technology, by making communication easier, making things more accessible and more creative. Schools have gone as far as to include computers with a lot of assignments doing research and other things. It has gotten to the point to where if you don't have a computer find a way to get to one because everything involves the use of a computer.  Computers are use for creativity as well and keeping in touch with family and friends you don't get to see often. Different websites are created for blogging, research, games, gossip, fashion, music, and just for fun, etc. Computers have also had a negative affect on people with it being a main priority, pornography, a distraction and being used for cyber bullying, and sexual predators seeking young girls. These are not some things you have to be exposed to, however most people have been in contact with at least one of these things over the computer. If we didn't have computers modern life would be more difficult and less interesting. We would have to read a lot of books to do research for school, work, and business's. Computers are another source when we're bored so if we didn't have computers we would have to find another alternative to occupy us. We wouldn't be able to keep in touch with people long distance and local. The computer is pretty convenient for everyone.

Being a good driver

Everyone that gets a license isnt a good driver which is explained by accidents and just from experience and observing people on the road. Being a cautious driver and watchful of your surroundings is a good technique and driving for those around you as well yourself is another thing. Some behavior that makes a person a good driver is not being on the cell phone, driving while intoxicated or under any influence of drugs or being sleepy. Being a fast driver isnt always a good idea either, that can cause accidents and risk your life and everyone else in the car, especially driving fast in the rain. Using signals when you want to turn or switch lanes and slowing down when approaching a yellow or stop sign is a good technique. Paying attention to road signs is something you should do and always wear your seatbelt. Avoid distractions but also be aware of your surroundings as well.

Events in the life of Chris Brown

Christopher Maurice Brown was born on May 5, 1989, in the small town of  Tappahanock, Virginia, to Joyce Hawkins, a former day care center director, and Clinton Brown, a corrections officer at a local prison. The youngest child of the couple, he has an older sister who works in a bank. Since his childhood, music was something which always had been present in Brown's life. He used to listen soul albums that his parents had owned, but eventually, Brown began to show interest in the hip-hop scene. Brown taught himself to sing and dance at a young age, often citing Michael Jackson as his inspiration. He then began to perform in his church choir and in several local talent shows. While mimicking an Usher performance, his mother recognized his vocal talent and they began to look for opportunities of a record deal. At the same time, Brown had been through personal issues. His parents had already been divorced, and he said his mother's boyfriend made him terrified all the time, due to the domestic violence his mother endured from her boyfriend. At the age of 13, Brown was discovered by a local production team who visited his father's gas station while searching for new talent. The singer then, moved to New York. In 2004, Tina Davis then-senior A&R executive at Def Jam Recordings discovered him while he was working with some local producers. She loved what she heard and saw when Brown auditioned in her office at Island Def Jam Records in New York. She immediately took him to meet the former president of the Island Def Jam Music Group Antonio L.A. Reid, who offered to sign him at the same day.

Why I am a unique individual

I'm special because I find myself to be stronger than most individuals. God blessed me with the gift of strength. I have been through more than most children and teenagers and still acted as if nothing was wrong and maintained good grades, that is a good quality to have. I am unique because I am spontaneous, smart, gifted, nice, sarcastic sometimes, witty, crazy, goofy, outgoing, strong-minded, self-disciplinarian, caring, passionate, helpful and creative. I have the characteristics alot of people look for in all aspects of life, whether it be a relationship, job, friend, mentor, tutor or just a cool person to be around. I love helping people to the best of my ability. Im outgoing, goofy, crazy and I can be sarcastic which adds humor. My friends always tell me how goofy I am and they love me for that. Im smart and accomplished things in my educational life that has made me proud of myself. This leads me to being a self disciplinarian, no one has to force me to be a high achiever, I've always been hard on myself, I am my worst critic. I have a very good heart and I am very nice so I've been told, maybe too nice sometimes. I care about everyone. I'm passionate and strong-minded with every important thing in my life, even the some of the unimportant. I have the type of personality that can get along with anybody. I can't be modest about that, its something everyone likes about me, some people only get along with certain or they are just not a people person, well not me I get along with every person I meet, literally and I think that is a good quality to have.

Pride in Work

Having pride in your work is very important. It adds confidence and meaning to your work and having this pride in school work earns good grades and citizenship. If you didnt have pride in your work I dont think it would turn out very well your low self esteem could be the downfall and have your work turn out to be a low achievement or mideocer. This can be applied to any type of work. If actors didnt take pride in their work they wouldnt give a good performance in front of the camera, same goes for models, rappers, singers, etc. If photographers didnt take pride in their work, their pictures wouldnt come out so different, original and wonderful. If teachers didnt take pride in their work, they wouldnt be capable of guiding their students onto the next grade and leaving them with everything they learn. If students didnt take pride in their work they would fail. If any person with any job or task didnt take pride in what they are doing their results would'nt be the best. Its important to have pride in what you do and enjoy it at that.

Diversity

Diversity is a mixture of different cultures, backgrounds, ethnicity's, race, religion, and sexual orientation among people. Diversity is a good thing in most peoples opinion, it lives the dream of equality among people and it gives the opportunity to learn about different cultures and surround yourself with different people. Diversity catches the interest of a lot of students who are interested in diverse universities. It also cathes the attention of people who are interested in diversity as well. Businesses would get good critism for having a diverse environment. I think diversity is good thing for everything and everyone. Martin Luther King fought for equality which is almost the same as diversity, it bring different races, ethnicity's and cultures together and allows them to be treated equally, I think it is very important to encourage diversity among all people because some people usually tend to hang around their own kind or have certain crowds. Blacks hang with Blacks, Hispanics with Hispanics and so on. Diverse crowds give everyone a different look at different races. I also think diverse or biracial couples are a cool thing.
