Not enough sleep

Not getting enough sleep affects how you operate in school and at work the next day. If you go to bed late your most likely to be sleepy, tired, lazy, grumpy, not focused and just not in a good mood. You can fall asleep in class and miss out on important notes or assignments, you can be grumpy and take out your frustrations on other people, you can be lazy and tired which affects your performance in class and just throughout the day. If your work and especially if you have to work with the public, you might move slower than usual and put yourself under a lot of pressure by dealing with different people. Dealing with the public you need patience and being grumpy may cause problems with customers or different people in general which may affect your job and cause you to get fired if the problem persists. I know not getting enough sleep before a test really affects your attention span from experience. Being sleepy is one thing but taking a test is another, its very boring and your not focused, just reading and trying to figure out a problem makes you ever more sleepy and you may even fall asleep and fall behind. When you have enough sleep, your energized, awake, alert and focused.
